Helping to build a sustainable community
Over 15 years ago Harshaw Trane formed a partnership with the United Way, and since 2010 we’ve raised nearly one million dollars for the organization through corporate donations and associate fundraising. A five-time recipient of the Top 25 Corporate Campaign Award (2007, 2009, 2011-13), Harshaw Trane was also recognized as a WOW campaign company from 2006-2009 and in 2011, meaning that we achieved a 10% increase in fundraising over the previous year. We also received the Employee Coordinator of the Year award in 2009 and were recognized as a nominee for the award in 2011.
Harshaw Trane also supports True Up, a groundbreaking initiative that empowers young people in foster care to gain the critical life skills they need to make a successful transition from a structured environment to self-sufficiency in our communities. True Up is powered by a family of foster care youth and alumni who, in the face of immense life challenges, rose to those challenges and built successful lives. Now they’re committed to helping others do the same and inspiring the community’s support for change——and Harshaw Trane is committed to supporting them.
