The state budget continues to weigh on the minds of Rowan County school district employees.
Supt. Marvin Moore said by this point in the school year, he has typically sat down with principals to discuss their needs for the upcoming school year.
However, with the state of the budget in question, Moore says he has chosen to wait on doing school needs assessments until districts receive more information from legislators regarding the budget.
During last Wednesday’s special meeting, the Rowan County Board of Education also heard from Harshaw Trane, the energy consulting firm the Board hired in 2010 to help reduce energy costs across the district.
